Already just testing redream a little though, it just feels better, oh and I like the fact you don't need a bios. Demul is a pain I find, I managed to set it up but it is just so needy haha. To be honest its only dreamcast games I want to emulate out of all demul has to offer currently, plus I dont mind paying the $5 as it works out to be £4 for me and that isnt much considering. It is the spiritual successor of Another World/Out Of This World and it distinguishes itself with rotoscoped graphics, polygonal cutscenes, and a Prince of Persia-style gameplay system. It does support Naomi but none of the other stuff that Demul supports. REminiscence is a game engine recreation of the 1992/1993 action adventure game Flashback. If you are willing to give Retroarch a shot I can try to give you a hand with it. You'll need the MSX BIOS files in the Retroarch system directory and the MSX core at a minimum to get it working. Extensions¶ Content that can be loaded by the VeMUlator core have the following file Features¶ Frontend-level settings or features that the VeMUlator core respects. MSX does work, I had mine set up in Retroarch (my preference) for both MSX and MSX2 so I could get some Metal Gear action going. The Flycast core in Retroarch is somewhere in between, it's free, relative easy to setup (you still need bios) and does have resolution scaling and WinCE support. GPLv3 A summary of the licenses behind RetroArch and its cores can be found here. (As far as I am aware of at the time of this post) The Redream core has been authored by inolen The Redream core (libretro fork only) is licensed under GPLv3 A summary of the licenses behind RetroArch and its cores can be found here. Redream is great and is very simple to setup (no bios required) but does cost 5$ to get the resolution scaling and still doesn't support WinCE games or anything outside of Dreamcast. Background Redream is a work-in-progress SEGA Dreamcast emulator written in C for Mac, Linux and Windows. Online updating/downloading of cores On most platforms (except game consoles and certain mobile platforms), RetroArch comes with dynamic module loading support. If you want the most coverage and technically "the best" then as Demul is the one to use. Yup, this is the state of DC emulation as it is right now.
